Life Coaching

Life Coaching is a relatively new way of dealing with all that life throws at you. Many clients come to Life Coaching with unresolved issues and frustrations and from their very first session they will quickly find themselves looking forward and making plans. Coaching enables people to achieve goals far more quickly than if they work alone.

Coaches often quote Albert Einstein, who said that nothing could be gained by “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”. Yet that is often what people do and they wonder why they keep on failing. Coaching enables you to identify new ways of achieving your goals. It keeps you on target and motivates you to continue working to do all of the things you really want to do.

Examples of issues that can be helped:

  • Personal and professional dilemmas that need to be managed
  • You may be feeling ‘stuck’ and not knowing what to do next
  • You may be a new mum or dad and need some help adjusting.
  • You may have lost your job or you want to start a new business.
  • You may have experienced a relationship breakdown or bereavement
  • You may lack motivation and keep on putting things off
  • You need some help organising your busy life and your priorities

Appointment information:

Before you make an appointment we will talk on the phone about why you feel coaching might help you. I will explain the coaching process and answer your questions so that you will feed comfortable right from the start.

Appointments last for either 60 or 30 minutes. First appointments are always 60minutes long, so I can find out why you feel you need to be coached. Once you are on track your appointments will be reduced to 30minutes, so that I can keep you on track as you achieve your goal.

You will be asked questions to help you identify your short-term and long-term goals. Coaching is very practical. You focus on the steps you need to make to get you from where you are now to where you would like to be in a month, in six months, a year or longer.

Your usual ways of thinking will be challenged and when you are fully committed to making things happen, you will be guided every step of the way.

Appointments are available for individuals and couples and sessions are usually 30 or 60minutes long. To find out more, please take a look at www.educationalconsultancy.co.uk

Workshops for small groups are also available. This includes group coaching and raising self-esteem. Please phone for more details: 020 8508 2512

A note from Sue Taylor-

My background: I am a sociologist, with 25 years experience working as a lecturer and tutor-counsellor. I am an accredited Life Coach (ICS Diploma) and have been running my own business since 2002.  I also sit on an Employment Tribunal and am a special school governor.

As an educational consultant I offer a range of workshops, from raising self-esteem to change management and group coaching. I also work with people returning to learning or students, keeping them motivated and focused on their learning programme.

As a coach, I have two niches:
